Taking a Shower ( Pag Puyat/ Without Sleep)

is it true what they say??, that we shouldn't take a bath when we're puyat... especially if you went through a whole night without any sleep? supposedly can cause fever..

well, if it is true, I should've been sick over and over again. lagi ko kasing ginagawa yan every time i go home from School. (College Days)

for me pag puyat ka, a Hot bath would be better, why?? because It helps tired and aching musles and helps relax you before going to sleep. (A good thing for working guys na-nag overtime.)

and one thing, if you are tired and you take a bath it would be bad for your eyes..
i have a friend back-then when i was in highschool he would read thick books before we go to class

he got a toll in the eye, and the eye doctor prescribe him glasses.. 425 grado nya.. ouch..

So, Try to avoid some water hitting on your eyes if your tired..

napacomment tuloy ako sa post mo.. ive been awake for almost 24hours and i still need to attend an important class.. thats why i decided googling if their are any side effects in taking bath when you dont have enough sleep or stayed awake the whole night... and surprisingly TAKING A BATH WONT BE A CAUSE OF BLINDNESS and about having a FEVER it depends on how your body react to the water temperature but it some cases COLD WATER + NO SLEEP can weaken your IMMUNE system.. as a result u'll get sick or experience some body pains.. THATS JUST IT!

I appreciate your comment. Yeah may point ka about that "blindness" thing. i was silly back then (2008) now nag shoshower ako kahit pagod from training. COLD Water has good effects sa muscles after intense workout.

Guys, mali to.. wag maliligo pag pagod at puyat..ako napasma buong katawan ko to the point na ppag mag cr ako need pa ng taga alalay kasi sobrang sakit at di ko magalaw katawan ko. nag umpisa sa pananakit ng likod ..pero thanked god after 4 years nakabalik na ako sa work kaso andto padin yung pain sa muscles..may doctor ako sa Medical City sa Pasig yung isa sa mga tenured na doctor . nag advice lang sya ng pain relievers everytime may schedule ako..ako padin talaga makakatulong s sarili ko..at ang pinaka natutunan ko ay WAG MALILIGO NG PUYAT AT PAGOD LALO NA PAG PAWIS NA PAWIS KA.

Yun lang. sana health muna bago career guys..yung health mo iisa lang yan yung career my mga opportunities pa dyan hndi nawawala yan.

More than 24 hours na kong gising. Ngayon lang to nangyari sakin kaloka.

Hi, This is Xian Xtreme. I'm overly surprised that this particular blog post that I published from way back 2008 is still receiving some attention. Now with regards to the "topic", it is perfectly fine to have a cold/warm shower when you're stressed or suffering from lack of sleep. There is "NO" such thing as "Pasma" and having a cold shower after an intense workout promotes muscle recovery (https://www.t-nation.com/training/recovery-methods-101).

I've made this post way way back during my nursing student days in the Philippines. I'm currently on a RN conversion course here in Western Australia to advance further in my career. Thank you so much for the views. This Blog brings back a lot of good memories during my College days.

Very helpful information. I am always doing this. Minsan over 12am nako natutulog and kelangan maligo ng 6am to get ready for work. Wala naman effect sakin. Pero i will sleep early nalang. Sabi nga prevention is better than cure. Mahirap magkasakit baka stroke abutin ko nito. Thanks!

I have been taking a bath while sleep deprived or stressed. I am in front of my computer screen for 16 hours a day with irregular sleeping habits then take a bath immediately and have been doing this for 8 years and failed to see some side effects caused by it. My vision are still normal, my body is still strong as is. (I often take exercises and eat healthy foods) Probably if you encounter like your family member or for yourself that have gotten a stroke or some other medical issues due to taking a bath without sleep, its most likely due to other factors and not the bath itself. I also see no scientific reasoning behind this matter.

I posted this wayback 2008 during my college days. I’m now working as a Registered Nurse
Here in Australia. Also, I’m into strength training and actively plays basketball. To promote muscle recovery I take cold showers after my training sessions.

is there any scientific studies about this? Based on my opinion wala nmang masama kung susundin, also ikaw naman makakaramdam sa sarili mo eh. So my best answer is check mo muna condition ng katwan mo before taking a bath, if wala kang 2log ng 48 hours then mag towel ka na lang with warm water or sleep muna. Better to bw safe than sorry hehe

Crazy! I posted this topic way wayback 2008.
As a Registered Nurse in both the Philippines and
Here in Australia, supported with studies and research, there
Is no such thing as “Pasma”. I want to give my past self a huge smack in the head for this!

I really want to remove/delete this topic to avoid misinformation and confusion. Unfortunately, I forgot my password for this blog site.

ako nakalimutan ko lang po di pa pala ako natutulog tas nung naliligo nako tsaka ko lang na alala so far wala pa namang nangyayari and sana walang mangyari. my immune system is doing great i hope pero kung may changes naman siguro hindi ko din mapapansin kasi madaming complications and pains yung body ko pero i'm goods pa naman siguro nasanay na yung katawan ko nawala nako sa topic hehe

On my opinion, soguro depende sa state ng katawan m.pag younger, taking a bath without any sleep is fine, hwg lng siguro araw araw. But, if pagod, specialy the eyes tpos maligo, can weaken the myscles of the eyes, pag sa body naman at pagud no sleep, warm bath with salt can help

Unknown said...

I don't know why some are okay but guys everytime kasi na naliligo ako kapag walang tulog is naluluha yung mata ko at irritated o mainit mata ko kaya minsan half bath nalang ako tas punas sa mukha basa sa buhok ng hindi nababasa yung mata

Almost 4yrs ago..
Nagpupunta ako ng gym para magwork-out after class..
Then one night.
So we do such as what I do at the gym.
Except sa mga machine workout.
Nagpapawis kami ng bahagya.
Then pagkatapos namin magwork-out

Then things about to change that night.

Pagbuhos na pagbuhos ng tubig.
Nahilo ako at muntik nahimatay.
Humiga ako at nagpahinga.

2yrs nagpapagaling.
Hnggng ngayon may gamot akong iniinom

Kaya konting ingat..

PS: Hindi nyo gugustuhin ang pakiramdam.
Kaya its better to prevent than sorry..
